The BMS Elite B58 Performance Intake, a product of Burger Motorsports, outperforms the OEM intake while retaining all of its beneficial features, including the cold air ducting and lightweight heat shielding airbox bottom. However, it enhances performance by replacing the top end of the intake with larger, higher-flow ducting, a heatshield, and a quality BMS inverted cone air filter. It can be acquired separately or bundled with Burger Motorsports' B58 turbo inlet, ensuring consistent high flow right to the turbo.
In dyno tests conducted by Burger Motorsports, the BMS Elite B58 BMW Intake either matched or exceeded the performance of other tested B58 BMW intakes, delivering gains of over 10 horsepower to the wheels at boost levels of 25psi or higher. Beyond power gains, it enhances turbo spool speed and offers a remarkable improvement in sound, allowing drivers to finally hear their turbo spooling.
Installation is straightforward and completely reversible. Burger Motorsports' specially designed high-flow filter can be cleaned every 15-20k miles using an S&B cleaning kit and is built to last the lifespan of the vehicle. Intake temperature testing conducted by Burger Motorsports revealed no significant deviations from the factory intake, whether during sustained cruise or full-throttle operation.
