This maintenance-free charging station is constructed of Corten steel and is designed to withstand years of outdoor use in the Scandinavian climate with low temperatures, moisture, snow, and ice.

The charging station is ready for DEFA Power charging boxes, but can also be easily adapted for use with charging boxes from other manufacturers. It comes complete with casting brackets. Charging boxes are not included.
What is Corten steel?
Corten steel quickly develops a protective rust layer on the surface, which actually slows down corrosion compared to regular steel.
Upon delivery, your Corten steel charging station will have a standard steel color, but after a few weeks outdoors (depending on the season), it will gradually develop the beautiful red patina that develops over weeks, months, and years. If you want to accelerate this rusting process, it can be sped up with a simple washing followed by a spray of saltwater.
Please note that Corten steel may leave rust marks on the surface, especially in the first few months. Therefore, we recommend protecting the area, especially if it is placed on tiles or wood, in the first months of use.
